Frequently asked questions
Which essential oils does FFD supply from Egypt?
Fifteen oils in four groups. Citrus: orange, lemon, neroli, petitgrain. Herb: basil, spearmint, peppermint, marjoram. Seed and spice: anise, fennel, caraway, coriander. Floral: geranium, chamomile, rose. Jasmine absolute is listed separately on the flavours and fragrances page.
Is a GC analysis available for each oil?
Yes. A gas chromatography report can be issued for every batch on request, alongside the certificate of analysis and a microbiological report for that batch. Ask for them when you place the inquiry.
Are these oils food grade or for fragrance use?
The line serves both, and the intended use decides the documentation. Citrus, herb and seed oils carry food applications such as flavourings, beverages, confectionery. Neroli, geranium, chamomile and rose are used in perfumery, cosmetics, personal care. Name the application in your inquiry and the matching specification follows.
What bulk packing formats are available?
Standard formats are 1 kg and 5 kg aluminium bottles, 25 kg HDPE drums or aluminium containers, and 180 kg steel drums for higher volume oils such as orange, lemon, basil, spearmint, peppermint, geranium. Each oil page lists its own formats.
What is the shelf life of the oils?
Shelf life is 24 months across the essential oils line, the same for every oil on this page.
